Amendment Bylaw 555, 2023 A bylaw to amend
Village ofMidway Council Procedure Bylaw No. 512, 2019
Pursuant to Sections 94 and 124 of the Community Charter, Council may not amend, repeal, or substitute a Council Procedure Bylaw unless Council first gives notice of their intent to do so.
The Council of the Village of Midway will consider Bylaw No. 555, 2023 which if adopted will amend Council Procedure Bylaw No. 512, 2019. The purpose of the proposed amendments in Bylaw 555, 2023 are to permit the Village of Midway Council to hold regular meetings of Council on a three (3) week rotation starting the first week in January of 2024 should the bylaw be adopted.
For the purposes of considering Bylaw No. 555, 2023 the Village of Midway Council will consider first, second, and third readings of the Bylaw at the special council meeting of December 11th, 2023, and also on the regular meeting held on December 18th, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. to consider adoption of the Bylaw. Both meetings will be held at the Municipal Office which is located at 661 – Eighth Avenue, Midway, BC
A copy of Bylaw 555, 2023, is available for inspection on the Village of Midway website www.midwaybc.ca, and at the Village of Midway Municipal Office located at 661 – Eighth Avenue, Midway, BC during regular office hours (8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.), Monday to Friday, excepting Statutory Holidays.
