On Feb. 28, Midway RCMP were called to a report of an assault with a weapon in Greenwood.
According to Cst. James Charles. it turned out a couple who were dating, and started using illegal drugs, which resulted in argument. That argument led to the woman being cut in the back and the arm with a razor blade.
The male was arrested for assault, assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, breaching his court conditions of not consuming illegal drugs, and obstructing a police officer as the male attempted to flee RCMP custody during a bail hearing.
The male has been held in police custody since that time, awaiting a court appearance.
