Local movers and shakers gathered at the Grand Forks Curling Club last week for the annual Business Excellence and Community Awards night.
Community Futures Boundary hosted the awards on Thursday, recognizing outstanding services, products and people that make the Boundary great. Last week was Small Business Week across the province.
The awards drew a crowd for food catered by Crowsnest Keep and mingling, followed by the awards ceremony. Different local organizations that sponsored the awards were on hand to present to the winners, including publisher Eric Lawson to present for Black Press.
The City of Grand Forks also presented its volunteer excellence awards, and named long-time Grand Forks International volunteer Gerry Foster Volunteer of the Year.
