A BC Transit bus blocked traffic both ways on Highway 3A north of Nelson on Tuesday morning.
The bus was moving southbound slowly when it began to slide left toward the edge of the highway overlooking Kootenay Lake where it came to a stop near Annable Road, according to a passenger.
No one was injured and there were no collisions. The passenger told the Nelson Star that the highway was plowed but and did not appear to have any sand or salt on it. They said the bus was carrying about 25 people.
BC Transit told the Nelson Star the bus was stranded for about an hour before it was moved and returned to service.
