Midway’s Darrin Metcalfe had a good night at the Eagle Track Raceway in Republic on Saturday, July 20 when he won the Les Weaver Memorial Race.
In the 10-lap race Metcalfe definitely had his number 11X Super Stock car hooked up as he took the lead before turn one from the second row after a yellow flag. By the time he made it around to the flagman again he had a half a lap lead over the rest of the field.
Later that evening he won the 25-lap main event in his class to take home the trophy.
There are three race dates at Eagle Raceway (eagletrackraceway.com) this month – Aug. 3, 17 and 31 – and one on Sept. 14. The action starts at 6 p.m.
