Bridesville Community Club sponsored a dance last month that kept the hardwood floor at the fairgrounds pavilion full through Saturday night and then again all afternoon on Sunday.
The Fugitives are a popular Manitoba dance band that has found a way to pack the dancehall every time they play. They bring along a couple of busloads of people who love to dance so much they choose a Fugitive Tour as their vacation.
Two buses pulled in to Rock Creek on Saturday afternoon and out stepped the four band members and another 114 prepaid guests.
The pavilion dance floor was always full of smiling people, both the 114 and the many locals who love a good band too.
The proceeds raised from the dance by the Bridesville Community Club will go towards an expansion of the kitchen and handicapped washrooms.
