Route 3 Motorcycle Club in Greenwood is asking the public to help them find bikes that were stolen from their clubhouse over the weekend.

The bikes were discovered missing after club members went to the clubhouse on Sunday to find someone had broken in and the bikes were missing, said communications officer Geneva Blair.

The stolen bikes are:

-2001 Honda CR250R

-2004 Kawasaki KX85 with 100 cylinder

-2001 Honda XR100

-2008 (apx) Yamaha TT-R125

She added the break-in likely happened sometime Saturday night.

“We’ve been working with RCMP and had volunteers combing Greenwood looking for the bikes,” she said on Sunday afternoon. “If you see our bikes or have any info please contact Angus or Midway RCMP.”

Club co-director Angus Macneil stated in a Facebook post he and his wife are devastated by the theft, explaining they are not money people, they run the club because they love Greenwood and helping people.

“Those who are responsible for this I can understand that possibly are desperate or in need,” the post read. “However our community kids need this to help them grow into the beautiful beings they were meant to be.”He implored anyone who may have any information to please come forward.

“I don’t care about prosecution or revenge, we just want to be able to continue what we, and many believe is an amazing addition to our community,” he said. “Knowing and staying quiet you are not helping our youth or community.”

Macneil can be reached directly at 250-328-3912, or angusmts@yahoo.ca.

The club is offering a $500 reward for the return of all the bikes, or $100 for any one of the bikes on their own.

Route 3 Motorcycle Club is a nonprofit organization with a mandate to help children and youth get involved in the motocross world for free at their clubhouse and track in Greenwood BC. They host events during the summer months, including Racing4Change in September to generate interest in the sport while keeping it affordable.
