A long-time resident of the Midway/Greenwood area, Valerie emigrated from England with her husband and eldest 3 daughters in 1960. She was predeceased by her daughter, Helen in 2016.
She leaves her children, Taylor-Denise (Ernie), Judy (Les), Andrew (Linda), Jennifer (George), Naomi (Brian) and Susan (Rod), 17 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
Our mother will be remembered for her sense of humour, her strength, her tenacity and her stubbornness to always keep a stiff upper lip. Mum's driving passion was her little restaurant and tea room in Greenwood "The Welcome Home Tea Room & Gift Shoppe".
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Kettle River Art Club, 346 S. Copper Avenue, Greenwood, BC on Saturday, June 23, 2018, from 1 - 4 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Society is greatly appreciated.
