Tim (Timothy) Huzar passed away peacefully at his home in Rock Creek, BC on August 28th at the age of 65 years. He will be sadly missed by his soul mate & best friend Jean Hardy & her daughter Amanda, his three brothers Don, Albert (Elizabeth) & Terry (Allison), his 3 children Tim, Tara (Bill Tarkenan) & Troy, his 4 Grandchildren Sebastian, Graham, Ty & Jaxsen & Jean's extended family. Tim was predeceased by his parents Walter & Anne.
Tim was born in Viking, Alberta on Oct 1st 1954 the youngest of 4 boys on the family farm. Tim started his schooling in Calgary and after graduating from High School he moved to the interior of BC. Tim started working in the lumber industry at Drews Sawmill in Malakwa, then worked for Tolko in Lavington east of Vernon. Tim also delivered the Vernon Morning Star newspaper for many years. Tim came back to Calgary and got his Class 1 driver's licence and drove a tour bus for Brewster's - Calgary to Columbia Icefields for one season. The last 20 years were spent in Rocky Creek. Tim enjoyed the easy & quiet life style that the area provided. Tim worked at Hilmoe Forest Products in Bridesville. After he worked on a garlic farm, ginseng farm & roofing. Tim also worked at some of the local orchards. Tim enjoyed managing the mobile home trailer park for many years in Rock Creek doing all the maintenance work that was required from snow removal to home repairs. Tim knew many people in the area and he will be missed.
Due to the recent COVID restrictions a celebration of Tim's life will take place at a later date when internment of his ashes will take place at the Rock Creek Cemetery. If considering donations, please donate to a charity of your choice.
