On Sunday, April 18, 2021, Mrs. Marie Joanne Wenzel of Rock Creek passed away quietly in her sleep at the South Okanagan General Hospital at the age of 70 years.
She was predeceased by her husband Darryl; father Andrew Schwehr; mother Minnie Schwehr and son Laith.
Marie will be fondly remembered by her loving family including daughter Taira; son Reuben (Niki); grandchildren Audrey, Wesley, Wyatt, Ryker, Kailyn, Wyatt, Brolin and Emersyn; great-grandchildren Liam and Lane; sisters Isabelle, Darlene, Tannis and Penny; brother Robert as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Over the years Marie worked as a waitress, truck driver and excelled as a mother.
She enjoyed traveling to Saskatchewan to visit family and friends, she loved the prairies. She also enjoyed quilting, dancing, writing poetry, tending to her flowers and garden and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
