Hiromi Izuka (nee Ikari)

October 3, 1940 – June 26, 2015

Hiromi was born in Kelowna, B.C. and passed away peacefully at the hospital in Grand Forks. Hiromi is predeceased by her parents Tomezo and Matsuye Ikari; her brothers Yoichi (June) and Tsuyoshi. Hiromi will be deeply missed by the love of her life, Fumio; sons Todd (Michelle), Craig and John; siblings Ayako (Joe), Akemi, Teruyo (Ayako), Michi, Gordon (Adell) and many nieces, nephews and friends. Hiromi loved to travel including trips to Europe, Hawaii, the Caribbean, and all across Canada and the United States. She enjoyed casino trips, was an avid gardener, and enjoyed many walks/hikes. Hiromi was a passionate reader who donated her time to volunteering at the Greenwood library. She was kind and generous person who made lasting friendships. Life was full for this happy person. The Izuka family would like to thank the staff at the Boundary Hospital for their kindness and care. A celebration of Hiromi’s life will take place on Saturday July 25th, 2015 at 1:30 pm at the MacArthur Centre, 1355 Veterans Lane, Greenwood, B.C.
