Dorothy Dolores Proulx

June 25, 1940 - January 7, 2020
On Tuesday, January 7, 2020, Mrs. Dolores Proulx of Bridesville passed away peacefully surrounded by family in Oliver, BC at the age of 79 years.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Earl Proulx; parents, George and Ruth Shamber; uncles, Edgar and Charlie Kingsley; brothers, Steve and Pat Shamber; sister, Carol Hansen; her father- and mother-in-law, Fred and Verna Proulx and brother-in-law, Clem Huot.
Dolores will be forever missed by her loving family including children, Bob (Roxy), Roxanne, and Dan; grandchildren, Travis and Melissa (Cory); great grandson, Daxon; step-grandchildren, Ashley (Chris) and Brett (Roya); "bonus" great grandchildren, Libby and Brooks; sisters-in-law, Fern (Lloyd) Keller, Evelyn Huot, Sheran (Ross) Krafte, Janice and Loraine Shamber; brother-in-law, Raymond Proulx; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She loved spending time with family; volunteering with the Women's Institute and Bridesville Community Club; watching the birds from her window; painting; keeping up with family through Facebook and text and watching (and re-watching) videos of her great grandson.
Dolores was a pillar of strength for her family and while she will be missed, we are comforted knowing she has been reunited with her best friend and husband, Earl.
The family would like to thank the fine ladies, especially Christine, at the Medical Day Care in the Oliver Hospital; the nurses at the Cancer Clinic in the Penticton Hospital; and all of the family and friends in Oliver and the Boundary for the special care they provided to our Mom and Grandma.
A service of remembrance will be officiated by Pastor Ed Brouwer at 1 pm Saturday, April 11, 2020 at the Bridesville Community Hall.
