Trial for Grand Forks restaurant assault set for Dec. 13

A Grand Forks man with a history of violence will be in court in December over an assault at a fast food restaurant this past summer.

Andre Robert Conn, 41, is scheduled to be in Grand Forks court Dec. 13 in regards to an attack on an employee at the Dairy Queen on Highway 3. A police report stated that on Aug. 23, Conn is alleged to have been upset after he received a wrong order and threw his tray at a male employee, striking him in the chest.

He is also scheduled to be in Rossland Supreme Court Dec. 4 to fix a trial date over an Oct. 1 assault on a community safety officer this past October. In that case, he is accused of trying to attack the officer in Gyro Park with a weapon, then vandalizing a city-owned truck, causing an estimated $5,000 in damages.
