Not much call for police at fair

RCMP report on the fall fair weekend; a fatal accident north of Westbridge and a break-in at Gold Pan Cafe in Rock Creek.

The Rock Creek Fall Fair weekend was relatively uneventful for police, according to Midway Detachment Commander Cpl. Kevin Christensen. He reported that although there were several open liquor seizures, a few violation tickets handed out and a few alcohol-induced minor assaults reported to police, overall there were very few calls for service at the fair and it appeared everyone had a good time.
