Kettle Valley Golf Course opened officially for the 2014 season last Friday, April 4. With the retirement of Merry English the course has some changes in administration.
Aaron Rexin is the new general manager and Krisi Goddard has taken over as kitchen manager.
She is planning a new, fresh menu that will be coming out in a couple of weeks.
The clubhouse features some renovations this year – new beams, a trophy case, new flooring and a new counter at the till has opened that space up considerably.
According to Rexin Les Jackman spearheaded the work. Others on the volunteer list were Gerald Denisle, Dick Woodford, Carl Gough, Dave March and Boundary Tool Rental. Thanks also to Ernie Rexin for donating the woodwork for the cabinet and beams.
The first tournament of the season will be the KMA on May 10 – it is open to all.
Hours for this early part of the season are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and they prefer if you phone ahead (250-446-2826) so you aren’t disappointed after a long drive to find that the course is closed that morning due to a heavy frost or something.
Rexin said they have four employees now and eight in the summer and they are looking forward to another great season.
