Service Canada is giving Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) funding applicants a gift of an extra three weeks before the application deadline closes.
Because the application period falls over the holidays, Service Canada has extended the original deadline of Jan. 10 by three weeks to Jan. 31. Canada Summer Jobs provides funding to not-for-profit organizations, public-sector employers and small businesses with 50 or fewer employees to create summer job opportunities for young people aged 15 to 30 years who are full-time students intending to return to their studies in the next school year.
This year Canada Summer Jobs applications will be available online beginning Dec. 2, 2013 and must be submitted by Jan. 31, 2014.
For eligibility criteria and guidelines for completing the application, contact a Service Canada Centre or refer to the website servicecanada.gc.ca/csj
