I’m Mischa Popoff, a family man, business man and author of the book Is it Organic?
I’m a policy adviser for the Heartland Institute, a research associate for the Frontier Centre for Public Policy and have delivered countless talks in defense of science-based public policy.
I was born in Saskatoon, Sask. and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree (Honours) in History from the University of Saskatchewan.
In 2003, I moved to British Columbia, residing in Kelowna and Penticton before settling with my young family in Osoyoos.
I have written numerous columns and articles, as well as the aforementioned book, a critical examination of Canada’s organic food industry and the inadequacy of testing prior to certification by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.
My wife Sherry and I have three young children.
