To some small degree, life changed for the better for Rock Creek’s Adam Bartelings at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 4. That’s when he called Bored Room Bistro for a pizza delivery to Granton Motors.

When his pizza arrived he was told it was a magical pizza because, not only were the pizza and delivery free, as the customer who bought the 5,000th pizza he’d also won a free pizza a week for a month and his picture will go on the Bistro’s wall of fame.

“He was surprised to say the least,” said Tom Lesher who, along with his wife RJ, run the Midway- based business. “Thank you to each and every one of our customers in the Boundary Region and beyond who in nine and a half months have helped create a community business we all can be proud of. We are looking forward to our next milestone 7,500 pizzas sold.”

The Bistro also announced that on Aug. 1, Stephanie Harpur won the Customer Appreciation Games Basket – a basket full of family fun games and treats for many enjoyable nights for her family.
