Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for Highway 3 through the Paulson Summit and Kootenay Pass.
The warning calls for 15-20 centimetres of snowfall starting Friday and running through to Saturday evening.
Environment Canada said drivers should be aware of poor visibility and changing travel conditions.
Highway 3 near Castlegar was the site of a fatal incident on Dec. 7 when a Nelson child was killed in a collision. Police said the highway was icy at the time of the accident.
