Scheduled outreach services slated

Federal government desk to be staffed the third Friday of each month at Service BC offices in Grand Forks.

Service BC is now the site of federal scheduled outreach services, making it easier for the public to get help understanding and accessing federal services.

Effective this Friday, March 20, a Service Canada officer will be available at Service BC’s Grand Forks location (7290 Second St.) on the third Friday of every month, from 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (closed 12 – 1 p.m.).

The officer will answer questions and guide clients through Government of Canada websites and online forms, helping them better understand and access the services and benefits available to them, such as Canada Pension Plan and Old Age Security, Employment Insurance, and Social Insurance number registration.

Service Canada can also be contacted on the Internet at www.servicecanada.gc.ca, and by telephone at 1-800-OCanada (1-800-622-6232, TTY: 1-800-926-9105).
