Glengarry SC Head Coach Coach Trevor Buttenham poses with Jolene Kllerman after she passed her Gold Skating Skills test in Penticton recently.

Jolene Kellerman from the Boundary Figure Skating Club in Midway passed her Gold Skating Skills test at the Glengarry Skating Club’s Spring School in Penticton. There are six tests in the skating skills program. Jolene took her first skills test when she was 11 and is very happy to have completed this challenging program of tests.

Skating skills are a combination of fundamental skating movements, executed on a pattern and skated solo. The objective of the skating skills program is mastery of the basic fundamentals of skating - edge quality, control, power and speed.

Jolene would like to thank Boundary FSC Head Coach Carla Bryan and Trevor Buttenham, Glengarry SC Head Coach for their help in accomplishing this goal.
