Hugs & slugs – June 27

If you have a hug or a slug, we’d like to hear it. Simply email bctimesnews@shaw.ca with your short quips, compliments or complaints.

Slugs:  To the people that hire outside their community rather than support their local people who are just as qualified or more qualified.  These locals support their community, volunteer their time and skills for the betterment of the community.  Is it any wonder why there are fewer and fewer volunteers each year?

Hugs: To Juanita van Kuik who planted flowers in the planter in front of Rags, Relics and Rutabagas so that the entire community could enjoy them through the coming season when they visit the Rock Creek Market.

Hugs: To the people who take time out to share a kind word of appreciation with others.

If you have a hug or a slug, we’d like to hear it. We will print the anonymous submissions for all to see. Be honest, but all we ask is that you keep it tasteful.

Editor’s discretion will always be exercised. Simply email bctimesnews@shaw.ca with your short quips, compliments or complaints; or you may drop them off at 318 South Copper Street in Greenwood.
