Hugs & Slugs - July 25

If you have a hug or a slug, we’d like to hear it. Simply email bctimesnews@shaw.ca with your short quips, compliments or complaints.

Hugs: From the residents of Jewel Lake and the Jewel Lake Environmental Protection Society to the Greenwood fire department for coming up to Jewel Lake two days in a row to watch over fire threats from trees that had fallen on power lines after a spectacular hail storm came through the area.

Hugs: To Jim at the Pacific Grill for his generosity to the Jewel Lake Environmental Protection Society by allowing us to use his rear dining room for our AGM on Saturday Morning.

Hugs: To Steve Stewart and the Kettle River Museum for kindling childhood memories that will last a lifetime for those kids who get to enjoy Kettle River Day.

If you have a hug or a slug, we’d like to hear it. We will print the anonymous submissions for all to see. Be honest, but all we ask is that you keep it tasteful. Editor’s discretion will always be exercised. Simply email bctimesnews@shaw.ca with your short quips, compliments or complaints; or you may drop them off at 318 South Copper Street in Greenwood.
