Ed. note: We missed two errors in this article when it went to print. The caption of the picture incorrectly named Audrey Roylance as Mildred; and Rose Botlz was born in 1924 not 1914. Our apologies.

Long-time Midway resident Rose Boltz was the guest of honour at a Come and Go Tea last Saturday at the Midway Senior’s Centre. The purpose of the celebration was her upcoming 90th birthday.

Rose was born in Humboldt, Saskatchewan on Sept. 1, 1924. She married Dan Boltz of Midway and moved to the Boundary in 1949.

Old friends from across many generations came to share hugs and stories at the tea. The family party held at the family ranch the night before brought out 28 relatives including four children, 10 of 15 of her grandkids and five great-grandchildren.
