Fun day on the river

Midway's Kettle River Days & the JLB Run are coming up on July 20th. Midwellian Steve Stewart sent in an invitation.

On Saturday, July 20 the Kettle River Family Fun Day will be held at Riverfront Park in Midway.

Everyone is invited to join in the fun that will be going on all day, beginning at 8 a.m. with French toast and sausage breakfast. The John Boltz Memorial Kettle River Run also takes place in the morning.

Family activities include kids’ bicycle and tricycle decorating at 9.30 a.m. followed by novelty races, penny carnival, water slide, toy boat building and inner tube races.

There will be a concession stand all afternoon where you will be able to purchase burgers, hot dogs and drinks.

The committee is asking if any of our local carpenters or hobbyists could donate some small wood scraps to help with the construction of the toy boat building. Please contact Steve Stewart at 250-449- 2467 if you can help.
