Mal and Darlene Logan have expanded their home-based business at Jewel Lake with the opening of Jewel Lake Cottage Crafts.

The store is open on weekends, selling tackle, hand-tied flies, consignment art pieces, and stocking some basic essentials that a camper might really appreciate – like the mosquito repellent or a box of band aids.

The store has been open since the May long weekend.

They also carry interesting repurposed furniture – a headboard that has been transformed into a wall mirror or a pair of headboards made into a bench.

They carry an assortment of nature cards, Art by daughter April Logan and

Jan Treerise and soaps made by Heather Good of Eye Heart Farm.

They are open from 11 to 4 on weekends, or you can call ahead to 250-445-2215 to make sure they are open (if the sign is out on the road then Jewel Lake Cottage Crafts is open for business).

Mal and Darlene have been operating Rainbow Cottage at the lake for a couple of years – you can find them online at jewellakecottage.com
