Arena almost ready

The ice is in at the Midway arena and two hours of ice time for a free public skate has been set aside this Sunday from noon to 2 p.m.

Bob Peters (left) and Pete Baia have been working last week and this getting the arena ready to go. This picture was taken last Thursday (Sept. 19) shortly after they’d laid the lines down. They said there was another 25 cm of ice to go on top of the lines before it would be ready for the Spokane Braves junior hockey team who are coming in this weekend to get some practice. The first public skate will be on Sunday
