Jack Ludwar passed away peacefully at home with family by his side on October 22, 2014. Jack was predeceased by his loving wife of 56 years Katherine Ludwar (Zwick). He is survived by his children Evy (Allen) Uphill, Darlene (Ernie) Rexin, Terry (Terry) Ludwar, Ken (Linda) Ludwar. 10 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Brothers Wilf (Eileen), Ron (Donna), Sisters Vicki, Edith, Isabel (Les) Laverne(Norman). Sister in-laws Helen and Minnie and Brother in-law Andy. Jack was born in Grayson Sask. July 31,1929. He was the third of 10 children born to Joe and Mary Ludwar. Jack grew up on a farm in Sask. then moved to B.C. in 1950 where he was employed by P.F. Law Construction until 1954 when he started his long career at Boundary Sawmills. Jack and Kathy resided in Midway where they raised their 4 children. Jack always enjoyed visits with family and friends. He liked traveling, fishing, hunting, cards, golf and curling. He was instrumental in organizing the Midway Fire Department, also Barrel Derby and Car Rally. All who knew Jack will have many fond memories and stories to share. A Celebration of Jack’s Life was held Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at Midway Community Center Midway, B.C. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Midway Curling Club or the Kettle Valley Golf Course. Arrangements entrusted to Everett Baker of Grand Forks Funeral Home.
