Christina Thelma Haines

February 9, 1921 – October 2, 2016

Christina passed away quietly in her sleep at the home of her youngest daughter Cheryl and husband Mark Ishida. She is also survived by daughters Bonita (Larry Folvik), Adele Haines-Pasco, son Bradley, five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, many nieces, nephews, and her beloved sister Alice Godin of Shipman, Sask. She was predeceased by her husband J.I. (Rusty), son-in-law Bud Pasco, and seven siblings.

Christina was known for her generosity, faith, and caring nature. Her open door policy to her home for family and friends helped many people on their journey through life. This was evidenced by the number of young people that called her Mom. She had an innate sense of style and dignity, always presenting her best. She enjoyed people, entertaining and fashion.

“You were always there when we needed

No task too great or small,

With loving heart and willing hands,

You did it all.”

She is now in the hands of God and we are gratified that we had her presence on this earth for 95 years. There will be a service for the Celebration of Her Life on October 29, 2016 at St. Columba United Church in Greenwood, B.C. at 2 p.m.
