RCMP are sending out a warning to residents after being contacted regarding some high-pressure sales tactics being used to target the elderly.

In a news release sent out on Tuesday, RCMP said they have received complaints of three men “from the United Kingdom” who are travelling in the Kootenay and Okanagan regions using high-pressure sales tactics on elderly residents until they agree to have their driveways sealed.

The men are travelling in a 2001 white Dodge Dakoda pickup truck.

The complaints to the RCMP have to do with residents feeling that they have been overcharged; however the release notes that RCMP are unable to act because the matter is a “civil agreement.”

“Please be aware should these individuals attend our area,” the release notes.
